XR Labs

VR classrooms, CAVEs and virtual simulation training rooms for universities, vocational schools and industrial training centres.

Applications

What the labs are used for

We supply the hardware, build or deploy the course content, install the room and train the people who will run it.

  • Whole-class teaching

Engineering, construction and science lessons where students need to see inside a machine, a building or a process at full scale.

  • Virtual simulation experiments

Experiments that are too dangerous, too costly or impossible to run in a real lab, run as repeatable simulations with step-by-step scoring.

  • Skills training

Trainees practise an operating or maintenance procedure on virtual equipment before they touch the real rig.

  • Mixed reality review

Virtual models placed over a real room at 1:1, so a group can walk around a design before it is built.

  • Teacher training

Teachers learn to run XR lessons and adapt course content for their own classes.

Lab types

Four types of lab

Most projects combine two or three of these. All photos are from labs we have delivered.

Industrial VR training room

Industrial VR training room

VR stations next to physical training rigs. Trainees learn the procedure and safety points in VR, then repeat them on real equipment.

VR classroom

VR classroom

Multi-seat PC VR or standalone headsets. The teacher console pushes the lesson to every seat, watches progress and casts any screen to the front display.

CAVE immersive space

CAVE immersive space

Three to five projected walls with optical tracking. A group stands inside the scene at 1:1 scale for teaching, research and design review.

Mixed reality space

Mixed reality space

Virtual models placed over a real room or a physical mock-up at 1:1, so people can walk through a design, such as a train interior, before it is built.

Course content

Training content we have built

Content is built from real equipment and procedures, with step-by-step scoring. It runs on AeduVerse, our WebXR platform, on PCs, mobile devices, Quest 3 headsets and CAVEs.

Process

How a lab is delivered

A first call of about 30 minutes, then a written proposal and quote.

  1. Step 01

    Site survey

We measure the room and agree on how it will be used, class size and the courses you need.

  2. Step 02

    Design and quote

Floor plan, equipment list and an itemised quote.

  3. Step 03

    Installation

Equipment installed, projectors blended and tracking calibrated.

  4. Step 04

    Course content

Existing courses deployed, or new ones built from your equipment and procedures.

  5. Step 05

    Training and support

Teachers and administrators trained on site, then local support after handover.
